Matrot Puligny-Montrachet la Quintessence Premier Cru 2014

Thierry Matrot described 2014 as a year with healthy levels of tartaric acidity, with a lemon-limey quality, which offers a classic expression of terroir. 

The wine shows pale yellow colour with oak-influenced aromas of lemon drop, pear, vanilla and brioche. Supple and sweet, with yellow fruit and mirabelle flavors complemented by buttery oak. Finishes structured, fine-grained and persistent, with saline minerality carrying the finish and buffering the oak element.
