The Mastroberardino family has been growing grapes for three centuries, with the first land purchases in Santo Stefano del Sole dating back to 1735. Mastroberardino plays a pivotal, leadership role in reviving and elevating the Aglianico grape, and helps establish the fame for 'The Barolo of the South'

The 2017 Mastroberardino 'Radici' Taurasi Riserva DOCG is a prestigious red with prolonged ageing in oak and bottle. It is highly regarded for its complex bouquet of tobacco, coffee, liquorice and a touch of leather, spices, cherry, and lush plum, with velvety tannins, a full-bodied structure with a long finish, and excellent aging potential.
